On the last post I mentioned how the company didn't even have a website. This one does, but it is still easily seen through. First you can tell the website is build off a standard Wordpress account. In addition, the company's website is not mentioned anywhere else on the web.
I did some additional investigation just to be sure. The phone which is located in England just gives a fast-busy. Also, I emailed the person requesting 3rd part confirmation of the company and no response was given. This was just another too good to be true jobs. To bad, I really would have enjoyed doing it.
Below is my response first then the email from the "company."
Dear ******,
I found your resume at CareerBuilder website and marked it as good

Dear Debra Price,
I am interested in the position. I did some internet research on your company and I only came across your website. I do not see any third party sites mentioning your company. Can you provide a third party that can validate your company? I would happy to provide my resume and cover letter after this request. Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,

I just received the same company request from a supposed to be James Woodley with Stargame LTD with an email address: work.stargame@yahoo.com saying he got my resume from Careerbuilder. I told em to kick rocks or smoke em which ever they do. This is a sad thing. I wish more people could be made aware, because they probably getting people like me. I am living with family (with two kids)trying to get a job and a place to stay...this would have really set me back. Just luckily I always look into these companies, because they almost got me before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting. "Kick rocks or smoke them" that's funny, lmao. Lot's of scams coming through Careerbuilder. The should fix it.
ReplyDeleteWell, I unfortunately sent my CV back (it has personal information on it but doesn't include a SS number) because I was excited to finally get some sort of job offer; however, I'll make sure not to fall for their scam. Thanks for the information, guys. Is there anything I need to do to protect myself or should I be safe?
ReplyDeleteShi++y. I just got an email from "Woodley" too. Glad I looked that crap up first. Thanks for posting
ReplyDeleteI just received the same job offer from James Woodley lol. I'm sure that is not even a real person. Their website looks super shady and unprofessional. This isnt a real company at all. when you google them nothing pops up besides that garbage website. I was almost ready to look into before my girlfriend stopped me. I did research and found like three sites with people complaining that this company is a SCAM. thank God i didnt do it. my credit already isnt good and I cant afford someone to steal my identity.
ReplyDeleteAnother version is PlayandWin LTD headed by Roger Wilson. They also say they got my app from careerbuilder
