We are hiring! manager@eznpd.net

Same scam, different spin.

Having seen other scams this one is easy to spot. Company says they are in Europe. Same job description as other obvious scam job postings.

Always check the domain name of an email address to see where it goes. Is it a free email account service like hotmail and you just haven't heard of it? In this case it's http://eznpd.net/. The site says it's under construction. For a multinational company, they should know how to have the old site up while they work on  a new one. Unless, they went International without a website. I doubt it.

I'm not even going to bother calling the number on the site. Here's third party verification that this is most likely a scam.

Read this MSNBC article for more information on this type of scam.

Hello dear ***!
We have a position for you
Our business model is the following: we have a large European customer database. Currently we actively work with Russia, Finland, Moldova, etc.  We also have the suppliers in the USA. Our only problem is that many sellers do not ship internationally.

This business model already works well, however, as our business is growing, we need extra staff. Now we are looking for several extra employees in the USA. You can get this job.

-     Receive the parcel. Opening of the parcel and damaging the original packing is strictly prohibited!
-     Right after receiving you need to report to you supervisor.
-     The supervisor will provide you with the postal label with a new addressee you will re-send the parcel to our courier in Europe. Usually we use USPS and DHL for shipments from the USA to Europe.
-     You remove all previous postage marks on the parcel
-     Open and stick on the new one.
-     After you stick a new postmark you send a parcel. It does not cost anything, because all the shipping labels are prepaid.
-     After sending you report to your supervisor.

You will be paid $20 for each parcel. You will get the payment on first-second day of every following month by check.

AT&T From Good to Bad at 3 MBPS.

I previously related how bad my experiences with Time Warner Cable have been. These experiences are the reason I currently have AT&T DSL.

AT&T has changed to rules. They have now put a cap on my Internet usage. Now, if you go over 150 GB in a month, you get charged an additional $10 per 50 GB. I take online coursed and we watch Internet TV. I'm not to happy about this. As technology progresses, things are supposed to get cheaper not more expensive.

Anyway, I had a chat with "world famous" AT&T customer service about when this started. Here's another example of how bad it can be dealing with customer service today.

Thank you for choosing AT&T Internet Services. My name is Stacie(ak3614).

STACIE
I see that I am chatting with Mr. **** ***** and you provided ********** as the number associated with your DSL/Dial account. Am I correct?

You
No, the number is **********

STACIE
Thank you for the information and let me pull up your account.

STACIE
Thank you for confirming the details. How can I make you a very satisfied customer today?

You
Since when do we have a limitation on how much we can download without extra fees?

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, please do not worry I am here to assist you with this issue.

You
Don't worry? Are you going to make an exception on my account?

STACIE
It's not like that.

STACIE
I am going to provide you information regarding Broad Band Usage.

STACIE
However, I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

You
oh, that helps :(

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, I am providing you the link to check you broadband usage.

You
I'm already looking at it. Now how are you going to assist me with the limit on my account?

You
and you have not answered my original question.

STACIE
That's good that you are already looking at the Broadband usage.

STACIE
Let me provide you the information.

STACIE
Residential AT&T High Speed Internet service includes 150 gigabytes (GB) of data each
billing period.

STACIE
The data you send and receive each month contributes to your monthly data plan.

You
Are you going to pay attention to what I'm typing and asking or are you going to continue telling me things I already know?

STACIE
I understand your point and let me provide you the information.

STACIE
At&t will send you additional notices any time your usage exceeds 65% and 90% of your data plan to help you track and manage your usage. The next time you exceed 150 GB you'll once again be notified, but will not be billed.

STACIE
If you exceed your data plan in any subsequent billing period, we'll provide you with an additional 50 GB of data for $10. You'll be charged $10 for every incremental 50 GB of usage beyond your plan.

You
I will be notified up to 4 days after I have reached the limit, which at the rate to exceed the cap would have already incurred another $10. And you are still telling me what I already know. Just answer the original question already.

STACIE
Please wait.

You
wow

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, I am checking your Broadband usage.

STACIE
Please wait for couple of minutes.

You
Is this a tactic for me to use more broadband usage this month. I already know what my usage is. I told you I'm looking at it. I just enrolled in online college courses. I know this will put me over the threshold.

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, I am sorry but there is no alternative for it however if you will exceed your limit then you need to pay extra $10 for an additional 50 GB of data.

You
Why won't you answer my original question?

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, the answer to your original question is: when you will exceed the maximum limit then you need to pay extra $10 for an additional 50 GB of data.

STACIE
Your limitation is 150 GB.

You
No, it's not. go back and read the conversation. Look at the first thing I said after the phone number verification.

STACIE
I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

You
that helps :(

STACIE
I appreciate your effort.

STACIE
As, I understand that you want to know about the limitations of your broad band usage data and how much you need to pay for the extra data usage. Am I correct?

You
no

You
Let me copy and repost the question for you.

STACIE
I am sorry for the inconvenience.

STACIE
Could you please elaborate the issue so that I can understand it better?

You
Since when do we have a limitation on how much we can download without extra fees?

You
I'll wait if you need someone to translate for you.

STACIE
Mr. Odoms, no need for translation .

STACIE
Let me check it again.

You
Have you checked it the first time? I must have missed it.

STACIE
Yes.

You
I don't see a date anywhere in this conversation.

STACIE
May I know which date you are referring to?

You
OMG, the question starts with "Since when."

STACIE
I understand your question.

You
Since when is there a limitation on how much we can download without extra fees?

You
You say that, but our previous history suggest otherwise.

STACIE
Do you want to know your billing cycle period?

You
Your really do need someone to translate.

You
When did you change your billing policy?

STACIE
Let me provide you the details.

You
I am not aware of there being a 150 GB cap on downloading before additional fees, when I originally started with your company.

STACIE
The policy changes from 1st of August.

You
This entire conversation and that's all I ever wanted.

End of chat.

we are hiring! express4u@gmx.us

This is our latest job scam we have come across today. This one is easy enough to spot. It's amazing how these people keep making the same mistakes.

1) A professional would have capitalized the beginning of "we are hiring!"

2) They list an international address and I have never applied with an international company.

3) Offering $2000 a month for 2 hours of work and no experience unnecessary.

4) Poor grammar used throughout the email.

5) Contact email is from a free email service and is not associated with the company being advertised.

Central Card Processing Service Job.

To good to be true. Boo.

Here's the pitch. Your a sales person for Central Card Processing, aka Trans Tech Merchant Group. They claim they will set up 5 appoints for you in  your local area to sell their services. They claim the appointments will already be made and all you have to do is show the program.

I truly was excited about this until I did the research. First thing I noticed is they are not a BBB accredited company. They do , however, receive a D grade from them. I wasn't too alarmed by this, because when I worked for Dish Network, I new they weren't accredited either. Something about losing a class action lawsuit and it wasn't worth renewing their membership with a bad score. Dish Network is still a solid company.  Dish Network has 13,929 complaints against it versus the 43 for Central Card Processing. I did investigate further.

I found some personal histories of peveious sales agent on the web. When it's the same exact complaint from many different sources, something is up. Basically, from what I gathered, people are saying: "The appointments are not set up. The owners don't even know your coming." "They don't pay as much as they let on." "The plan is to get the owner to speak to your team member on the phone. So, they can tell them to listen to you."

In the end. I'm not doing it.

Coast to Coast Voice, LLC Part 2

It's was two days since I sent my request for cancellation. I hadn't received any return emails at all. So, I called their main customer service number, (866) 576-1873. The operator Kristen was pleasant enough. She informed my my email had been received without me mentioning I had sent one. She also informed me that they had cancelled my account and credited me two months of services which would show up on my bill in 1 to 2 billing cycles. This matches other complaints and stories I've read online. why I did not get a return answer is not known.

I took down my confirmation number and the operator ID for my records.

They owed my 3 months of service. However, this is a battle I'm not choosing to fight.

Coast to Coast Voice, LLC

I looked at my AT&T bill today and find something from $14.95 under Enhanced Services. WTF? Come to find out Enhanced Services is billing from 3rd party vendors. Supposedly, I signed up for a voicemail service. This is dumb considering I use Google's free voicemail option. Needless to say, I have an issue with this.

First thing I do is scourer the Internet. So, I know what I'm dealing with. Come to find out this is a very common thing from this company. I also learn AT&T will not do anything about it. They state it has to be removed from the Coast to Coast Voice, LLC.

Bad news all customer service lines related to this issue are closed on Sunday. Time for more research. Of course, there is BBB complaints. One name stands out under my investigation, Ms. Cheryl L. Brennan. She's the contact listed on the BBB site. However, there is no direct contact for this person. Boo!. Well, let's investigate more to see if I can find a direct contact number.

What I learn is shocking. She's listed with a host of other similar companies with low ratings. It appears once a business starts to receive complaints, her and maybe co-partners dump this company and start the same thing over.

Check this out.

United Communications Link, LLC

In Florida, listed with a C- minus rating.

Servicing Solutions Group, LLC

Is listed in Las Vegas with no complaints. However, I suspect this is used as a parent company of some sort.

YCP Network

In Florida, listed with a C- minus rating.

Nation's 1st Voice

In Florida, listed with a B minus rating.

Coast to Coast Voice, LLC

In Florida, listed with a B+ minus rating.

The B's are probably on their ways to C's. I was unable to find any email contacts except one, support@coasttocoastvoice.com. Although, many people have posted online to have been slammed by this company, many state refunds were painless. I'm hoping mine will be the same. I emailed today and will call tomorrow. Stay tuned for what happens next.

Job Scam - Job for me

On the last post I mentioned how the company didn't even have a website. This one does, but it is still easily seen through. First you can tell the website is build off a standard Wordpress account. In addition, the company's website is not mentioned anywhere else on the web.

I did some additional investigation just to be sure. The phone which is located in England just gives a fast-busy. Also, I emailed the person requesting 3rd part confirmation of the company and no response was given. This was just another too good to be true jobs. To bad, I really would have enjoyed doing it.

Below is my response first then the email from the "company."

Dear Debra Price,

I am interested in the position. I did some internet research on your company and I only came across your website. I do not see any third party sites mentioning your company. Can you provide a third party that can validate your company? I would happy to provide my resume and cover letter after this request. Thank you for your understanding.
