There are plenty of sites about awesome movie cars but none discuss the pure power of the car in the movie. This list is not about speed or looks alone. It’s about how much damage a car can take before it’s put out of commission.
The Green Hornet Car– This car continues to dish out punishment by killing the last villain in the movie even after the car has been broken in half. Things I like about this car: Weapons and looks.
The Bat Mobile – This care has taken its share of onslaught from Batman’s enemies over the years. This car rolls over other vehicles like it was a tank. If you watch the animated series, it comes with a complete armor covering. Things I like about this car: Gadgets, onboard computer, Rocket Boost.
The General Leefrom the Dukes of Hazard. This car continues to jump rivers and nose dive into the ground on the other side but always ends up looking brand new. Remarkable. This car’s main weakness seems to be flat tires. Things I like about this car: The look, the doors.
Bumblebee – After countless battles with other gigantic robots, it continues to be a real bad ass. Things I like about this car: Personality, transforms, fighting skills.
KITT from Knight Rider – Able to take about any punishment unless it takes a specialized chemical bath. As l look back at this show, the funny thing was KITT regularly saying, “I don’t know if I can do this” and Michael answering with “Bend over and take it.” That’s paraphrasing of course. Things I like about this car: Turbo Boost, personality and it’s smarter than the driver.
The Car – In the movie titled, “The Car.” It’s bullet proof and can go from smashed to perfect in a second. This car has an attitude and kills people just for the fun of it. Things I like about this car: Attitude and the look.
The Love Bug;otherwise called Herbie. Herbie seems to be able to take any amount of punishment and beat them on the track afterwards. Things I like about this car. Personality with the tendency for showing off, very fast.
Christine – The unkillable car. This movie is more an educational tool of why you shouldn’t associate with psychotic woman than anything else. Things I like about this car: Nothing. It’s pure evil, lol
The Dodge M4S in The Wraith – This car can take a collision at 200 mph be totally blown apart and rematerialize in one piece. This process takes about 3 seconds. Doesn’t get much better than that. What I like about his car: The look and the supernatural power it possesses.
The Bluesmobile – This car does it all. It’s powered by God due to the fact the Blues Brothers are “on a mission from God.” Once the mission for the car is over, it completely falls apart. This movie still has one of the best chance scenes of all time. Things I like about this car: Powered by God.
