Here's the follow up. I sent a response back to this company to see what I would get. I received a reply relatively quickly. I've listed it below. Some things just don't add up. The number of the contact person is NY. However, the address is overseas? There is no website for this company. It's to good to be true.
***I went to this website. It is just a form in some language your not going to understand. ****

I too was contacted by the same people.
ReplyDeleteHow can you be certain it is a scam? I admit, it is "suspicious", but how can they scam you if they provide the money for the purchases up front?
I'm still in contact with them to see how far it goes.
Also, if you use Google Translate you can translate the URL and get information as since when the company has been active, supposed working capital, etc.
Were you aware that to search CareerBuilder's resumes starts at $600 a month, and they can only access up to 50 resumes a day?
I'm doubting you'll actually get the money up front. Realize that these people are always using varities on past techniques to scam people. So, I would recommend visiting the following to links and use some imagination. You'll have to click on the more text option to get to the meat of each story.

I have received this same email as well. And yes, you do get the money up front. I had my doubts as well, and even paid for a report of this company from the Swiss and American government. It's legit. I'm making good money, claiming my taxes correctly, and everything is good with the company. It's good to be aware of scams though.
ReplyDeleteThat's very awesome. I realize that you spent the money out of your own pocket. Where do you get such a report from the American Government? Would you mind posting a copy of the report from the Swiss and American Government?
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this email as a SCAM. You are indeed correct Self Improvement. As I explained above, I did receive a report from my lawyers, they had contacted the Swiss Embassy as well. Everything checked out legit. Until yesterday that is. This false company did provide the funds up front, but they were from STOLEN ACCOUNTS! PayPal is working with me and being extremely understanding. They aren't asking that I pay the negative balance that I now have. The reason the balance is negative is because the account owners realized that their money was stolen and reported it. They get the funds returned and my account went negative. The thing that saved me was that I had written my company's name on the my accounts page. If I had my name, it might have been different. Please take caution, my lawyer advised that 99% of all overseas internet jobs are scams. Thank you again for exposing this awful company!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this ended badly. I'm glad to hear PayPal is working with you. Hopefully, your experience posted here will help others to avoid the same experience.
ReplyDeleteThis just goes to show you how far people will go to take advantage of other people. It's really sad.
New update: Since I was such a good customer of PayPal, they fronted me the requested funds from my bosses account. They discovered that she made a common error and "forgot" to transfer the funds. Thus, my account went negative. She actually contacted me and made up for it! I now a a zero balance and am closing my PayPal account. I will not do business with this company anymore. My lawyer suggested that this company is legit, they are just performing a couple illegal acts including shipping. They don't want to pay the 50-100% import fee to Russia, they use me to avoid this. This is tax evasion and is very illegal. Please be aware people!
